Concept demo · RFI 69-MFL0002
One platform, many departmental bots, and every answer checkable.
This demo answers from 20 public web pages on three department sites. It runs on local keyword retrieval: there is no language model, so each answer is a passage lifted from a page and linked back to it. The AI behavior is simulated. The controls around it are the point.
RFI items shown working
General 1
Departmental bots
Three bots, each reading only its own site until a department grants access to another bot's knowledge.
General 14
Inline citations
Every sentence carries a numbered link to the official page it was extracted from.
General 9
Refusal, not invention
Below a retrieval threshold the bot says it does not know, and shows the score that made it stop.
General 12
Handoff and tickets
A stumped bot offers a person, only when agents are online, or a ticket. Both are labeled mocks here.
Admin 6
Verbosity control
Crisp, standard or detailed, set per conversation. Clear, short answers are the default.
Admin 2
Conversation review
An admin log flags unanswered questions for review, filtered by department.
Security 5
Crisis routing
Keywords trigger a fixed response before retrieval runs. No extracted or generated text is shown.
Security 1
Accessibility basics
Labels, keyboard use, visible focus, live regions and checked contrast. No conformance is claimed.
Real in this demo
- Page text, source links and fetch dates
- Retrieval, scoring, refusal and crisis routing, all tested
- Knowledge isolation between bots
Not real
- Any generated AI text: there is none
- Live agents and ServiceNow tickets: both are mocks
- Sign-in and admin permissions: simulated, and the log stays in your browser
